Charoen Pokphand Group Subsidiaries Unite to Support Dormitory for International Military Students in Cambodia

Phnom Penh, Cambodia – April 22, 2024 – CP Cambodia Co., Ltd., CPPC Group, and Makro Cambodia, all part of the Charoen Pokphand Group, came together to participate in a donation initiative organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh. The project provided curtains and essential supplies for the dormitory of international military students from Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam at the College of Social Sciences and Languages (CSSL), part of the Cambodian National Defence University (NDU) under Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence.

Representing CPPC Group, Marisa Haluehunsaporn, General Manager of CPPC Outdoor Wear (Cambodia), joined Mr. Wittaya Kriengkrai, Managing Director of CP Cambodia Co., Ltd., to hand over 60 sets of curtains, valued at USD 3,500, aimed at improving the living conditions of students in the dormitory.

The donation ceremony, held at the Cambodian National Defence University, was attended by Group Captain Patha Kaentabtim, Air Attaché at the Royal Thai Embassy, and presided over by Lieutenant General Dok Supha, Rector of the National Defence University. The initiative reflects the continued collaboration between Thailand and Cambodia in supporting the welfare and education of military students from across the region.

“We are proud to support this initiative, led by the Royal Thai Embassy, which helps improve the living conditions for international military students in Cambodia. It’s a small way for us to contribute to their well-being and the region’s development,” said Marisa Haluehunsaporn, General Manager of CPPC Outdoor Wear (Cambodia).

Makro Cambodia also contributed to the effort, donating water dispensers, study desks, chairs, fans, power outlets, and lamps, valued at USD 1,000, to benefit Thai military students currently studying Khmer language courses at the university.

This initiative highlights Charoen Pokphand Group’s commitment to fostering regional cooperation and supporting the development and welfare of military students across Southeast Asia.
