The Sustainable Packaging Club from CPPC Group, a subsidiary of CP Group, proudly participated as a co-host in the National Children’s Day 2025 event, organized by the Duang Prateep Foundation.

On January 12, 2025, Mr. Narong Chearavanont, Senior Vice President of Charoen Pokphand Group, led teams from CP subsidiaries, including sponsoring representatives and volunteers, alongside Buddharaksa Foundation, Dhanin Tawee Chearavanont Foundation, and Lotus’s Foundation, to bring joy to children in the Khlong Toei community as part of CP Group’s 100th-anniversary initiative to promote good deeds. The team distributed over 10,000 items of food, drinks, and gifts to the community’s youth.

At the event, volunteers from the CPPC Sustainable Packaging Club distributed healthy fruit juices in “7 GO Green” cups (eco-friendly paper cups by Green Packs), along with stationery and educational kits. They also hosted a waste segregation game to teach children about waste management and environmental conservation in a fun and engaging way.

The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Kittiratt Na-Ranong, former Deputy Prime Minister, who served as the guest of honor to open the event and deliver a Children’s Day message. Ms. Prateep Ungsongtham Hata, Founder of the Duang Prateep Foundation, delivered a speech on the importance of promoting life skills and learning opportunities for children. Joining them were Mr. Witawat Tantivess, Head of Strategy, Communications, and Public Relations for the CP Group’s 100th Anniversary Project, Mr. Kosit Lohawatanakul, Head of International Sustainability Development at CPF, and Ms. Siwaporn Maneesiri, Deputy General Manager of HR and Administration at CPPC, who presented gifts and inspired the children with words of encouragement.

Khlong Toei is one of the largest underprivileged communities in Thailand, with a high population facing economic and social challenges, impacting children’s access to education. The Duang Prateep Foundation has been continuously dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and families in Khlong Toei through educational support, life skill development, and health and well-being initiatives.

The event featured various learning stations, such as New Generation Parenting, Fun with Reusable Bags, and Teddy Bear Reading Corner, aimed at fostering life skills and creative thinking. The day ended with performances by young talents from the community, including classical music, Thai cultural performances, and a mini concert by well-known artist Wiwid Bovornkiratikajorn (Tee AF) and new band EYERICE, leaving the young attendees with smiles and lasting memories.

The participation of the CPPC Sustainable Packaging Club in this event reflects CPPC’s commitment to supporting social initiatives and promoting sustainability in ways that improve the quality of life for children and communities. Ms. Siwaporn Maneesiri, Deputy General Manager of HR and Administration at CPPC, said, “Being part of this National Children’s Day event highlights CPPC’s dedication to sustainability and supporting the development of life skills for children in the Khlong Toei community. We hope that this activity will create learning opportunities and foster valuable life skills for the children, benefiting their future.”
